How do aluminium doors differ from wooden or uPVC doors?
01
Aluminium combines light weight with exceptional strength. These doors do not warp, require minimal maintenance, and offer a sleek, modern design. Unlike uPVC, they look premium, and compared with timber, they are more durable and stable in humid climates.
Can smart locks and access control systems be integrated?
02
Yes, aluminium doors can be seamlessly combined with modern technologies – from biometric locks and smart home systems to remote-controlled locks or automated opening mechanisms for the entire door. We offer solutions that provide both security and convenience without compromising on design.
How energy-efficient are they?
03
Modern aluminium doors are manufactured with thermal breaks and multi-chamber profiles, delivering excellent thermal insulation and reducing heat loss. They fully comply with Part L Building Regulations and help to lower heating costs.
What finishes are available?
04
You can choose any RAL powder coating, wood-effect finish, or textured surface. Popular options also include panoramic glazing, concealed hinges, and decorative inserts that emphasise a contemporary architectural style. In fact, we can produce any bespoke design based on your drawings.
Are aluminium doors suitable for private homes, not just commercial buildings?
05
Yes, modern models are designed specifically for residential projects such as houses, townhouses, and apartments. They blend perfectly with contemporary architecture and highlight the prestige of the property. Aluminium entrance doors can also be complemented with side or top panels in toughened or laminated safety glass, which both solves architectural challenges and allows natural light into the hallway – while maintaining privacy and security.
How long does an aluminium door last?
06
With minimal maintenance, the lifespan can exceed 40–50 years. Powder coating is resistant to UV rays and corrosion, so the door retains its appearance and functionality for decades.
Can I order a door in bespoke sizes and design?
07
Yes, all our doors are made to measure. We take into account non-standard openings, the architectural features of your home, and your preferred style and design. You can choose the type of timber, finish, glazing, handles, hardware, and even a custom colour from an individual palette.
How resistant are the doors to burglary and the UK weather conditions?
08
Our doors comply with the Secured by Design standards and are fitted with certified anti-burglary locks. The timber is treated against moisture and deformation, while the finish is designed to withstand the British climate: rain, wind, and temperature fluctuations. We also use a specially developed threshold made from solid hardwood wrapped in a stainless-steel sheet. This ensures both high aesthetic quality and reliable protection of the threshold – the part most vulnerable to moisture.
Do wooden doors require special maintenance?
09
Yes, as with all natural wood products, periodic care is required. Usually, it is sufficient to refresh the finish (oil, varnish, or paint) every 2–3 years and to check the condition of the seals. With proper care, a wooden door will last for decades.
How long does manufacturing and installation take?
10
The standard production time is 10–12 weeks, depending on the complexity of the project. Installation usually takes one working day. When placing your order, we will agree a precise schedule for production and installation.
What is the price range for bespoke wooden entrance doors?
11
The price depends on the size, chosen timber, design, and level of security. On average, prices start from £2,500 for the finished door, excluding installation. We provide a detailed estimate and transparent cost breakdown before the order is confirmed.
What warranty do you provide for the doors?
12
We offer up to 10 years’ warranty on the door structure and 2 years on the hardware and finish (depending on the selected coating). The warranty covers stability of the geometry, durability of joints, and the operation of locks. With proper care, your door will retain both its appearance and functionality for decades.
How are aluminium garage doors better than steel or sectional doors?
13
Aluminium is significantly lighter than steel, yet strong and resistant to corrosion. This ensures smooth and quiet operation, long-lasting durability, and minimal maintenance requirements. Unlike steel, aluminium does not rust and retains its attractive appearance even in high-humidity conditions.
Can the garage doors be matched with the front door and façade?
14
Yes, aluminium garage doors are available in the full RAL colour palette, as well as in wood-effect finishes or custom powder coatings. This makes it possible to create a harmonious architectural ensemble – façade, front door, and garage doors in one unified style.
Are these doors suitable for automation?
15
Absolutely. All our garage doors are compatible with modern automation systems, including remote control, smartphone operation, and smart home integration. The mechanisms operate quietly and safely, which is particularly important in residential areas.
How energy-efficient are they?
16
Aluminium garage doors with thermal insulation and perimeter seals help maintain a stable temperature inside the garage. This is especially valuable if the garage is connected to the house or used as a workshop.
Can garage doors be made in non-standard sizes?
17
Yes, we manufacture doors to fit specific openings and architectural requirements. Even bespoke or panoramic solutions can be implemented without compromises in design or functionality.
How are aluminium sliding doors better than traditional hinged doors?
18
Aluminium sliding systems save space and create the effect of continuous panoramic glazing. They allow for the installation of large-size panels without the risk of deformation – something impossible with timber or uPVC. Architecture that incorporates these systems looks contemporary and significantly increases the property’s value.
How energy-efficient are they with such large glazing areas?
19
Modern terrace systems are equipped with thermal breaks and double or triple energy-efficient glazing with low-emission coatings. This reduces heat loss in winter and prevents overheating in summer, ensuring year-round comfort and compliance with Part L Building Regulations. Technology is moving forward, and today we are already able to offer window systems with integrated heated glass – where the surface itself works as an infrared heater, reaching temperatures of up to 22°C.
Can these doors be integrated into a smart home system?
20
Yes. Sliding systems support automatic opening, smartphone or touch-panel control, and integration with ventilation, security, and climate-control systems. They can also be fitted with electric blinds that provide complete privacy within seconds.
How safe are large aluminium windows and doors?
21
We use toughened and laminated glass, multi-point locking systems, and concealed fittings. These systems comply with Secured by Design standards and provide a high level of protection without compromising aesthetics.
What design options are available?
22
Sliding doors and windows are manufactured with minimalist frames that are barely visible in the interior. Thousands of RAL colours, wood-effect finishes, and premium anodised coatings are available. Popular solutions include “barrier-free thresholds” for seamless integration between home and terrace.
Can bespoke architectural solutions be realised?
23
Yes, aluminium profiles allow for the creation of extra-large sliding panels weighing up to 400–600 kg, corner systems without supporting posts, and “pocket doors” that slide completely into the wall. This opens up vast opportunities for modern architectural concepts. We are always delighted to collaborate with architects and designers, as solving such bespoke challenges is one of the most rewarding aspects of our work.
If you have any questions
about our aluminium doors
We sort and recycle wood, glass, aluminium and plastic from old windows and doors.
Our aluminium products contain 60–70% recycled materials, and the thermal performance of the doors reaches U-values of 1.2–1.4 W/m²K, which is significantly better than the UK standards (up to 1.8 W/m²K).
We care about the environment, support local communities and build our business on the principles of openness and honesty.
